Swimming lessons at Max

Lessons at Max Swimming School are given in accordance with the lesson plan of the official
swim ABC. The format consists of the following categories: water familiarization, elementary swimming, preparatory swimming, Level A, Level B and Level C.

Swimming lessons at Max Swimming School are given in our swimming pool (19 meters long) and 1.35 meters deep. We call this deep water swimming. Young children cannot stand on their feet, so from the first day on they learn to float and to save themselves. Max Swimming School works as little as possible with floating devices (corks). However, the teachers at Max Swimming School will sometimes make use of some tools (flexi beam) to improve a swimming stroke or to give a child more grip.

When does your child can participate?

The children are expected to have some experience with water and to be at least five years old. During the first test lesson (trial class) the teachers of Max Swimming School do an assessment and you will be told whether your child can participate in the classes.

The swimming lessons at Zwemschool Max

The lessons at Max Swimming School last 45 minutes. Each group (per teacher) consists of four to five children. So the teacher is able to give all the personal attention your child deserves.
In every lesson we take a step forward, and we try to push the boundaries of the children. The progress of the children is recorded in the system of Max Swimming School, maintained by the teachers. There is room for a personal note or report from the trainer if desired. After 12 weeks the teaching period ends with another group or with a certificate.
